King Cedar (Stephen Macartney) is an incredible songwriter and wordsmith, but more than that, he’s a nice guy and great craic. He’s a man who truly epitomises the artistic landscape of Bangor. Stephen joins us every Thursday in February playing his own original material with a different special guest joining each week.
These special Cedar Sessions are a chance to catch Stephen and his carefully handpicked guests in our intimate Open Arms bar. There are no advance ticket sales, just £5 cash on the door. The bar opens at 7.00pm and there’s limited seating and standing room. First come, first served.
ZAC MAC
Lurgan teenager Zac Mac is a guitar sensation. He’s been playing since the age of 11 inspired by the likes of the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Thin Lizzy. In fact, Thin Lizzy frontman Ricky Warwick has even performed alongside Zac joining him on stage at the Sunday Life Spirit of Northern Ireland Awards. He was the youngest person ever in Northern Ireland to reach Grade 8 on the guitar and with the release of his debut album ‘Supernatural’ last year, looks to be heading for the top.
