Dreamland is an exhibition of paintings by local artist Lisa Ballard, exploring the landscape around Bangor and North Down. Having recently relocated to Donaghadee, Lisa has been discovering new corners of the local terrain. Her work is filled with colour and light, capturing moments and memories that create images reflecting the fleeting nature of her experience of that place.
The exhibition launch takes place on Thursday 2 May from 6.00pm – 8.00pm. No ticket is required to attend the event.
Lisa Ballard is a painter who also explores print making and ceramics in her work. Since attending the Ulster University Belfast College of Art, Lisa has received many awards for her work and is included in several collections including the Artis Council of Northern Ireland and Office of Public Works Ireland. In 2017, she was awarded associate membership of the Royal Ulster Academy in Northern Ireland, and has exhibited across the world from Belfast, Dublin, and London to the Netherlands and Los Angeles.
Visit the Dreamland exhibition in The Drawing Room while the Court House is open for events from Friday 3 May to Sunday 21 July. The exhibition is supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
