To celebrate National Lottery Open Week, and say thank you to Lottery players who helped fund our project, we’re offering two free guided tours of Bangor Court House.
Tours times are 1:30pm Saturday 18th and 5.30pm Tuesday 21st March. Please arrive 5 – 10 minutes before the tour start time.
Take a free guided tour of the old Court House on Bangor seafront, and follow its fascinating 150 year journey from construction as a bank in 1866, to its repurposing as a Court of Petty Sessions in the 1950s, to its restoration and transformation to a dedicated music and arts venue in 2022. Discover the wonderful Italianate architecture, the Troubles fortifications, and the fixtures salvaged from local hotels to help with the fit-out. Hear how Open House Festival is using music and arts, and the restoration of the Court House, to help drive regeneration in this Northern Irish seaside city.
One National Lottery ticket or scratchcard will give access to a group of up to 4 people – booking required.
