Howe Gelb has spent more than 30 years defying stereotypes and lazy comparisons, mashing together elements of rock, country, blues, punk, garage, lo-fi, jazz, gospel, avant-garde noise and flamenco gypsy music. Guitar and piano are his primary instruments, accompanying a voice that “sings like a gruff angel”.
Where he was once compared to the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, David Byrne, and Captain Beefheart, now other artists are compared to Howe Gelb.
This fully-seated intimate show takes place upstairs in the Drawing Room. Tickets are limited so early booking is advised.
