Follow small-time swindler Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) on her one-way journey to The Bates Motel. Here, she meets Norman (Anthony Perkins), a polite young man with mother issues whose main hobby is taxidermy. Things end badly for Marion in the shower – a three-minute scene that’s gone down in movie history.
More than fifty years after its release, the movie is as terrifying, gripping and entertaining as ever. Director Alfred Hitchcock provides a masterclass in creating terror through inventive camera work, clever editing and an unforgettable music score.
