In conversation with Nicci Cloke

Back in 2018, Chris Whitaker came to the festival for a small literary event in Fealty’s Back Bar. He had recently won the coveted CWA New Blood Dagger award for his debut novel, Tall Oaks, and his second novel, All The Wicked Girls, had just been published. Since then, Chris has become a global literary success. His books have been translated into thirty-one languages, he has won multiple national and international awards, and his most recent book, All The Colours of the Dark, has topped just about every best-selling list on the planet and is currently in development with Universal Pictures.

We are thrilled to welcome Chris back to Bangor for this very special event, where he’ll be chatting to fellow thriller writer Nicci Cloke about his writing career and the phenomenal success of All The Colours of the Dark. Nicci’s eighth novel, Her Many Faces, will be published in July.

Our book partner Waterstones will have copies of All The Colours of the Dark on sale with a special festival 10% discount, which Chris will sign. It is also available to buy at Waterstones Bangor, Lesley Bloomfield Shopping Centre – and you can still claim the 10% Festival discount if you present any Open House Festival 2025 ticket.

Please note this is a festival event and an Open House Festival Ticketsolve login will be required to be book tickets.

Please note this event is theatre seated. If you have any accessibility requirements please get in touch with us here.
