Dana Masters weaves elements of soul, funk and R&B into her explorations of the jazz and soul sound. She was born and raised in the deep south of the United States by a family involved in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 60s. She draws on this rich heritage and in her work is a storyteller at heart. Dana is a seasoned performer who has performed for Popes, Prime Ministers and Presidents as well as touring as a featured vocalist with Van Morrison for seven years.
