Hundreds of people flocked to Ward Park in August to see and hear the incredible Jackie Rainey and the Sweet Beats at Picnic in the Park. Jackie describes the outfit as a “supergroup” and she takes the lead on guitar and vocals with Emma Doran on percussion and vocals, Eilís Phillips on bass and vocals, and Rachel Toman on piano, guitar and vocals. Expect a tight covers set packed with hits, rhythms and great harmonies. Standing room only as you’ll want to dance!
