Originating from the picturesque landscapes of Monaghan, 22-year-old musician and composer Jamie Duffy is emerging as a prominent figure in Irish music. He seamlessly blends traditional, popular, and classical influences creating a captivating and emotive style. Live shows are an unforgettable spectacle and he has recently graced the stages of illustrious venues such as the National Concert Hall Studio and Belfast’s Grand Opera House Studio. His debut piece ‘Solas’ has amassed over 69 million streams on Spotify alone making it the most streamed debut since Hozier’s ‘Take Me To Church’.

In the last year, Jamie Duffy has collaborated woth artists as diverse as cellist Patrick Dexter, Kingfsher, and Swedish neo-classical composer Peter Sandberg known for his single ‘Deep’ that featured on the hit Netflix show ‘Stranger Things’. It’s Duffy’s own distinctive style that most shines through, however, and we can’t wait to hear what he brings to Bangor this autumn.
