Musical Notes

This critically acclaimed, multi award winning drama (nominated for BAFTA, Oscar and Academy Awards) dramatises the 1995 Srebrenica genocide through the eyes of a local teacher and UN translator, Aida. Both powerful and deeply moving, the film moves at a thriller-pace as Aida tries ever more desperately to save her own family alongside the thousands of citizens seeking sanctuary inside the UN camp, while the clock ticks down to its inevitable shocking climax.

After the screening a survivor of the Bosnian conflict, Safet Vucalik, will give their testimony, followed by a Q&A session chaired by Peter Osborne, Chair of Remembering Srebrenica NI and former chair of the Community Relations Council.

In conjunction with Ards and North Down Borough Council Good Relations Unit and Remembering Srebrenica
