This special event has been developed in partnership with Ards and North Down Cycle Campaign as part of UK Cycling Bike Week and to mark the launch of the Bangor Cycling and Walking Heritage Trail.

The Engine Inside is an internationally acclaimed and multi-award winning documentary film that charts how, for the past century, our society has grappled with the unintended consequences of a car-centric culture. In stunning cinematography it follows the lives of six individuals from diverse backgrounds who have devoted themselves to a simple, age-old machine – the bicycle.

The screening will be followed by a short panel discussion with representatives from the Department for Infrastructure’s Active Travel Unit, Ards and North Down Borough Council, local politicians and Ards and North Down Cycle Campaign Group.
