Covering the Band’s 1976 farewell tour, The Last Waltz is arguably the greatest ever concert movie. But then again it was directed by Martin Scorsese. The Band’s story is told in a series of memorable, often hilariously spaced-out interviews – intercut with live performances from musical titans of the day: Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Emmylou Harris… Plus Van the Man raises the roof with a blistering version of Caravan. A joyful celebration of an era when rock gods ruled the world.
