This year is the 100th anniversary of John Coltrane, a towering genius in jazz music. And we’ll be celebrating his astonishing legacy on Thursday 12th November.
Our virtuoso local quartet will play Trane’s landmark album, A Love Supreme, in its entirety. Then after a short break, they’ll move through other Coltrane classics including Giant Steps, Blue Train, Naima and My Favourite Things.
This talented line-up features Michael McDowell on sax, Rohan Armstrong on double bass, Sean Miguel Murray on drums and Zak Irvine on keys. Though young in age, they all play like seasoned jazzmen.
