WAITING LIST
Check our ethical re-sale partner Twickets to buy or sell tickets.

Following the success of our inaugural Court House Book Club earlier this month, we’re delighted to announce that the next event will be held on Wednesday 17th January. We’ll discuss two books in the atmospheric Drawing Room upstairs at the Court House, then the panellists will recommend a recent read that impressed them, or champion their all-time favourite book.

January’s books are Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingslover, winner of the 2023 Pulitzer Prize and Woman’s Prize for Fiction, and Factory Girls by Michelle Gallen from County Tyrone, winner of the Comedy Women in Print Award, 2023.

Our January panellists are Nick Garbutt and Tara West. One of our most regular Festival Book Club panellists, Nick makes a living through writing and is an obsessive reader – already notching up 100 books this year! Tara is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Queen’s University and the author of two novels, Fodder and Poets are Eaten as a Delicacy in Japan, and a memoir of depression and recovery, The Upside of Down. Chair for the evening is writer and Open House PR, Lesley Allen.

There’ll be great chat and a bit of craic, with the chance for you to have your say – plus you’ll get a glass of wine on arrival.

Please note this event is theatre seated. If you have any accessibility requirements please get in touch with us here.
