What makes a good life story, and how do you tell it? At this special non-fiction Book Club we’ll be discussing two memoirs that are currently making big waves. Strong Female Character by comedian Fern Brady is a candid memoir of neurodiversity, sexism and defying expectations. Former BBC correspondent Rory Cellan Jones charts the remarkable secret story of his parentage and his mother’s own BBC career in his compelling memoir Ruskin Park: Sylvia, Me and the BBC.

Panellists are literary agent and professional ghostwriter, Susan Feldstein, and writer, memoirist and media commentator Susan Bennett. The event will be chaired by Hugh Odling Smee, Film Hub NI project manager and founder of Whittrick Press.

Please note this is a festival event and an Open House Festival Ticketsolve login will be required to be book tickets.

Please note this event is fully seated. If you have any accessibility requirements please get in touch with us here.
