King Cedar (Stephen Macartney) is an incredible songwriter and wordsmith, but more than that, he’s a nice guy and great craic. He’s a man who truly epitomises the artistic landscape of Bangor. Stephen joins us every Thursday in February playing his own original material with a different special guest joining each week.
These special Cedar Sessions are a chance to catch Stephen and his carefully handpicked guests in our intimate Open Arms bar. There are no advance ticket sales, just £5 cash on the door. The bar opens at 7.00pm and there’s limited seating and standing room. First come, first served.
Monday’s Child
Monday’s Child is an alternative rock band based in Belfast. Originally from Warrenpoint, the group began as three sisters with a love of playing music. They formed the band in 2022 and have played shows across Northern Ireland. On stage, the sound moves from upbeat and anthemic rock to more ethereal pieces. They look set to play to bigger crowds throughout the year so this is a chance to experience them in a more intimate setting.
