Open Arms
The Open Arms Bar is a cosy and inviting space. It has many of the original Victorian features from when it was built in 1866 such as the high ceilings, large sash windows and decorative mouldings. A more modern feature is the open log fire which is framed by an fireplace that was salvaged from The Royal Hotel along with the beautiful mahogany bar.
The Open Arms is the main bar for events taking place in The Court Room and also plays host itself to smaller, more intimate events – both free and ticketed.
The Court House is run as a not-for-profit venue and all proceeds from the bar are reinvested to support our community venue.
You can read more about the history of the building and see how it looked before the renovation on our history page.
