For our first Book Club of 2026, we’ll be chatting about two of the biggest selling and most popular paperbacks of 2025 – one fiction, and one non-fiction.

Chris Whitaker, author of the global bestseller All The Colours of the Dark, visited the Court House in August as part of Open House Festival to talk about his writing life and the inspirations behind his most successful book yet. As a follow up, we thought it was time to bring All The Colours of the Dark to Book Club.

Raising HareChloe Dalton’s memoir about caring for a leveret during lockdown, became a word-of-mouth sensation following its publication last year, and has gone one to win numerous accolades and top multiple bestselling lists.

Our panellists are two authors from County Down – crime fiction writer Hannah King, whose third novel, Little Darlings, will be published in April 2026, and nature writer and poet Maggie Doyle, who will also be publishing her second non-fiction book next spring. They’ll be discussing the two books with local writer Lesley Allen.

Please note this event is fully seated. If you have any accessibility requirements please get in touch with us here.
