KARIS KELLY IN CONVERSATION WITH AOIBHEANN McCANN
Award-winning playwright Karis Kelly won the coveted Women’s Prize for Playwriting for their play, Consumed, about four generations of Bangor women reuniting for a 90th birthday celebration. The play is about to start its inaugural UK tour. Karis has also written for several television productions, including Hope Street and The Break, and has an original drama series in development with World Productions.
Karis will be talking to Bangor-based writer, eco-activist, and actor Aoibhéann McCann, who recently reprised her role as Geraldine in season 3 of Blue Lights, about their playwriting career, the upcoming Consumed tour, and what it’s like to be Northern Irish when you have an English accent.
