Creating jazz standards out of modern classic songs

If you like Nouvelle Vague, you’ll love this… Kyron Bourke (piano & vocals) and Linley Hamilton (trumpet) have been playing together for over ten years but have recently formed a band specifically to create jazz standards out of classic modern songs. They will be joined by Steve Davis on drums making it a very cool trio.

Their set features the songs of Nick Cave, Sinead O’Connor, Elbow, Stevie Wonder, Leonard Cohen, Joy Division, Kylie Minogue, Tom Waits, Lou Reed and even Minnie Riperton. This is a free event, no ticket is required, but capacity and seating are limited and on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 7pm.
