Nate Thompson’s journey through sound began here in Bangor, where a teenage appreciation of the psych-textures of Pink Floyd and Steve Hillage collided with the energy of the early 90s rave scene. This evolution was solidified by the emergence of Mo’ Wax and Bristol’s Trip Hop movement, forging a foundation in electronic music that is both deep and atmospheric. Now London-based, he channels three decades of record collecting into his Sonntag Sounds series on Mixcloud, regular sets at The Wood Street Bear in Walthamstow and occasional trips home to play at The Bullitt Hotel and The Menagerie in Belfast.
