Directed by Wim Wenders, Paris, Texas is an intimate tale of loss, redemption and the ties that bind families together. Travis, superbly played by Harry Dean Stanton, walks out of the desert after 4 years. Reunited with his 7-year-old son, they embark on a search for his ex-wife (played by Natasya Kinsky pictured above) so they can be a family again. A sublime triumph of contemporary world cinema, deservedly winning the 1984 Palme d’Or. Suitably soundtracked Ry Cooder’s slide guitar acclaimed score.
