Poetry & a Pint is an evening of original poetry hosted in The Drawing Room by Bangor Literary Journal’s Paul Daniel Rafferty and Amy Louise Wyatt. They will be joined on the night by two two guest poets, Niamh McNally and Conor Shields who will showcase their work before opening the floor to an open mic session.
Niamh McNally is a Belfast-based poet who facilitates workshops in The Seamus Heaney Homeplace. Her poetry has been widely published and has featured in two climate crisis films. Niamh is the current Poet-in-Residence for Herstory, Ireland and Translink.
Conor Shields is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, poet and filmmaker. He has led Community Arts Partnership for the better part of 25 years and co-founded the SaveCQ and the #ArtsMatterNI campaign groups, holding three ministerial appointments in the arts over the past 10 years.
