Rickydrewapiccy (Richard Kerrigan) is a self-taught creative living in Bangor and based in Boom Studios whose practice is a mix of paint, digital art, print and photography. Work is focused on social observation, satire, wordplay and local lingo.
Exhibition: Thoughts and/or prayers.
A collection of original paintings, the work is impulsive and reactive. There’s rarely a plan. Some of the it is influenced by living in Bangor and trying to interpret the daily moaniness that seeps from cracked pots into cracked paving stones. It also looks at the hopes, dreams and prayers of those that live here, having been inspired by an hour on Facebook. Other work explores language, mistakes and misunderstandings.
