King Cedar (Stephen Macartney) is an incredible songwriter and wordsmith, but more than that, he’s a nice guy and great craic. He’s a man who truly epitomises the artistic landscape of Bangor. Stephen joins us playing his own original material with a special guest. These special Cedar Sessions are a chance to catch Stephen and his carefully handpicked guests in our intimate Open Arms bar.
Originally hailing from the Pacific northwest, Scott Southworth is a multi award-winning musician and songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. His latest record ‘Only Dead Fish Go With The Flow’ was released in late 2024 to critical acclaim and he’s a regular at renowned venues such as Nashville’s famed Bluebird Café. Scott’s an inductee of the Academy of Local Musicians – Nashville Hall of Fame but he likes to keep things simple. Ask him for a bio and he’ll tell you “I write songs. I like pie. I play Larrivee Guitars. I really like pie.”
Scott Southworth will perform Nashville-style “in the round” with King Cedar and local songwriter Amanda Agnew.
