This Is The Kit is the pseudonym of songwriter / banjo strummer / pinhole camera lover Kate Stables, since she moved from Winchester to Bristol in the 00s and began performing and collaborating in the local music scene. This Is The Kit has earned Kate the admiration of critics and peers including Sharon Van Etten, The National (Aaron Dessner appears multiple times on Moonshine Freeze), Chris Thile (of Nickel Creek and Punch Brothers), as well as Guy Garvey and much of BBC 6Music.
And now, four albums in, and living in Paris, we’re thrilled that she’s finally making her way to us in Bangor. She’ll be bringing with her a stellar supporting cast of Rozi Plain (bass), Jamie Whitby-Coles (drums) and Neil Smith (guitar).
We’ll also be treated to a supporting solo set from Rozi Plain, already an Open House favourite.
