Colin is a much loved figure in Bangor and has a special place in the heart of Open House Festival. His literary wit and humour have brought him incredible success in the book world. But with this ‘Colin Bateman Season’, we want to shine a light on his screen writing talents.
Directed by Nick Hamm, The Journey tells a fictional tale of the historic first meeting between Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness. Filmed at local locations, including the Culloden Hotel and the Ards Peninsula, this controversial production stars Timothy Spall, Colm Meaney and the late John Hurt.
Our screening will be introduced by Colin Bateman, with an audience Q&A at the end of the film.
